This classic, award-winning musical by Cheryl Kemeny- based on the famous Hans Christian Anderson story- is a great way to learn to sing, act and dance with the pay-off of a full scale production in our 236 seat theater. With 25 beautiful songs, The Snow Queen is for students entering 5th-12th grades. There are challenging and varied parts for all—including non-singers! Taught by author/composer Cheryl Kemeny, director Samantha Kulish, choreographer Char Fromentin, acting/vocal coach Joe Santaniello, stage manager Debra Poruban & assistants Krystina Lyons and Elizabeth Markow in our air-conditioned studios at Ben Franklin Center.

All students will develop their acting skills, not only through performance but during structured acting exercises and theatre games throughout the day. The 2 performances are “double-cast” (which means that all the lead parts have 2 performers-one performs a lead at each performance. When not performing a lead part, the actor sings and dances with the ensemble-thereby doubling the learning experience!)

Take part in Cheryl Kemeny’s popular musical comedy—a show that has been performed from Calgary, Canada to Herare, Zimbabwe!

Set in a fictional Norway, Trolls depicts a story of a war between the trolls and the humans over a tragic misunderstanding--humans have been cutting down trees without warning the forest trolls who live in them, thereby killing the trees’ inhabitants. The Forest Trolls join with the multi-headed Mountain Trolls in preventing humans from entering the forest, causing an eventual shortage of wood for fires or buildings. Three sisters have raised one of the few remaining trees from a pinecone and their widowed mother offers it to the depressed human queen in a bid to have her eldest daughter marry the crown prince. Mayhem ensues! This is a great musical for students at all levels of ability and includes comedic as well as more serious roles. Directed by Samantha Kulish; musical direction by Joe Santaniello; Stage manager, Debra Poruban and acting assistants.

TROLLS! will be a fully costumed and staged story musical. With many parts for various ages, this show is an ideal learning vehicle for students wishing to enhance their singing/acting/dancing abilities. Pupils will develop their acting skills, not only through performance but during structured acting exercises and theatre games throughout the day.

A great summer show in a fun environment, camp is held at our Ben Franklin Studios. (If registration warrants, we may add a show on Saturday the 8th.)
