He is aided in his quest by his half-sister the goddess Athena, Hermes and Nike. The adventure is initiated by Hera’s jealousy –she’s the wife of Zeus, king of the Greek gods. Along the way the travelers meet the Nymphs of the North, Amphitrite, Aphrodite, Poseidon, the 3 Grae Witches, Casseioppea, Andromeda, the Nereids, the Fisherman & his wife, Apollo, Artemis, Persephone and the list goes on! Needless to say, there are many parts in this big costume musical-comedy with music that combines huge musical numbers and dramatic solos. (Students who have done this show get the added benefit of knowing all the Greek gods and goddesses which they study in 6th & 9th grades at school!) Directed by Samantha Kulish, with choreography by Char Fromentin, the musical direction is carried out by show author/composer, Cheryl Kemeny. This production will also be presented with musicians playing the new orchestrations by Kyle Brenn. Enhance your acting and singing skills in this challenging musical! (Recommended for students with some experience either at Crystal or elsewhere.)
