| Crystal Theatre is run by a volunteer board of performing artist/teachers dedicated to the development of original material and to the development of children as creative artists. We have deliberately not enlarged the board to include parents because we do not want our mission changed to rehashed Broadway musicals nor parts given based on whose parents are on the board. All artistic work is contracted out to teachers on a per project basis. Projects are commissioned and classes are offered based on artistic merit and the needs and interests of our students. Most of our students stay with us long-term, and we have witnessed their incredible growth as human beings as well as performers. The increase in self-esteem and confidence among Crystal students is supported by the many "thank you" letters and testimonials we receive from former students. Crystal Theatre's goals are to continue to develop local creative artists, and new musicals, find a permanent home, have a full time stall, develop new audiences and to increase professional perception among audiences.
