Zachary Anderson is a recent graduate of the Vocal Performance program at NYU Steinhardt, studying Musical Theatre. At school, Zach has been seen on stage in Wonderland (Dance Captain), Rags (Dance Captain), and NYU’s New Student Spotlight (Performer), directed by Natalie Weiss. He studied voice at Santaniello Vocal Studios throughout his high school career, and was heavily active in the Norwalk High School music and drama departments. Some of his favorite roles from the 10 years he trained and grew up at Crystal Theatre include Aldo Salvatore in Whistleville, Tommy in Louder Than Words, the Lord Chancellor in Iolanthe, and Attila in the 2017 and 2019 international tours of Hungarian Nights. Zach studied Music Composition at Interlochen Center for the Arts in the Summer of 2016, where he publicly debuted four chamber works and a large choral work, "A Light in Life", sung by the World Youth Honors Choir. This was following the premiere of his first original musical, Keychain, in January of 2016. In August of 2018, Zach directed and starred in his second original musical, Escape. He is now in the midst of writing his third full-scale musical theatre piece, The First Year. Zach works and is available for hire as a freelance orchestrator, music director, rehearsal pianist/accompanist, and performer in both NYC and Fairfield County, CT.
